We’ll try to put here in the blog everything we are taking, what we think might be useful in the journey, how we are preparing, etc.. If anyone has any tips, please send us a comment! 😉
Yesterday we did some shopping (by the way, shopping now, only for the trip!). See what we bought:
1. Elastic clothes line. It comes with the clips! I found this super useful, not only for travelling, but also get to use at home.
Brand: Kiwi Camping
Price: NZD 6.99 / US$ 5.30
2. Map Compass. It comes with measurement scale, magnifying glass and glows in the dark. We can put on the map and try to get less lost.. As I get lost even in Wellington, I do not know if it will help me, but is always worth trying…
Price: NZD 9.99 / US$ 7.58
3. Led head light. Another tip from Rose that we are following. It may be useful in any situation with no light, on the beach, in the streets, in buses, or even a hotel room. This is very little. The only problem is that it uses two lithium coin batteries, which are not very easy to find.
Price: NZD 11.99 / US$ 9.10
>4. Another headlamp. After buying it, and comparing to the other one, we reckon this one is too big. But it is quite good, directs the light, and uses 2 AA batteries.
Price: NZD 19.99 / US$ 15.17
5. Spork: Spoon + fork (2). It’s also got a little knife on the side of the fork, but I think it’s useless. It is plastic, so it can stay in handbags even when passing through metal detectors at the airport.
Brand: Light My Fire
Price: NZD 4.50 / US$ 3.41
